Happy Thursday! Last night, while anxiously waiting for Big Brother I decided to try out that pinterest pin going around with the vinegar, listerine, and warm water foot bath. I added 3 cups warm water, 1/2 c. vinegar, and 1/2 c. listerine. Sat there for 12 min, instead of 10. It was nice to have the coolness on my tootsies. I will say, there was some dead skin in there (gross, but nice). I used my scrapper and got some more off and then washed them and made Dave touch them. He said, "dang babe, smooth as a baby's bottom", which coming from him means a lot. ha. So, don't expect miraculous things from it, but it is a cheap home spa pick-me- up.
Workouts. As you know, and if you don't, my girlies and I have been gathering the kids and running and then doing circuit training in the AM. I am so blessed to have friends that are not afraid to call each other out when we're being lazy. Today's workout was amazing! We ran for about 2.3 miles (with kids in strollers..and so happy to report it's getting easier). Let me backtrack and add in the fact that my goal is the Disney Princess Half Marathon 2015! For circuit training we did tire jumps, sprints, squat jumps, bag punches, jumping jacks, planks, jump rope, lunges, and abs. It was a great time! I am excited to keep it up and see how awesome our bods will look in a few weeks. If you're local, come join in! If not, remember that I have the online coaching for ya!
Recipes!! My fav, food time! Last night we had crockpot pineapple chicken. Totally yummy. So it's:
* Chicken
* 2 Cans pineapple (with 100% pineapple juice)
* 1/2 cup liquid aminos
* Sprinkled some cinnamon ontop
I let it sit in there for 8 hours and then put it over brown rice. It was awesome.
Tonight, we're having turkey chili.
Browned the turkey meat
Put in the crockpot:
* Organic, salt free diced tomatoes
* Organic, salt free tomato sauce
* Orgeano
* pinch of sea salt
* Cumin
* Parsley
* Chili powder
* Chili pepper flakes
* Diced 1/2 onion
* Found a packet of chili spice, super low sodium and added that too!
I never measure my spices, just wing it. I love mine spicy, so if you don't might want to take out the chili pepper flakes.
Clean Pumpkin Bread for dessert:
* 1/3 c. coconut oil (melted)
* 1/2 c. honey
* 1/2 c. egg beaters
* 1 c. pumpkin puree
Mix then add:
* 1 3/4 c. whole wheat flour
* 1 t. baking soda
* 1 t. vanilla extract
* 1/2 t. cinnamon
* 1/4 t. of nutmeg, ginger, and clove
(I added in 1/2 t of pumpkin pie spice)
Put in pan and bake @ 325 degrees for 45-60 min.
Hope you're all enjoying this week. If you have any clean awesome recipes feel free to pass them along or even a favorite workout!
