Ben's arrival

I feel like I always start my posts off with "Been a while".  I am hoping to change this soon.  Lots to update on.  First, Benjamin James Rogers arrived December 5, 2014 at 5:51 am.  A whopping 7 lbs and 19.75 inches of joy.  He is so amazing.  I will say, this labor was amazing.  I went into labor around 7:30 pm December 4.  We went to the hospital (thank goodness my parents arrived the night before) and told I was still at 4 cm. I was sent to walk and walk I did.  I walked hallways, stairs, and everywhere I could think of.  I bounced on my gym ball (which I never thought would work or be comfy, but IT WAS AMAZEBALLS).  Midnight, went back to be check..6 cm!  Boo-yah, Grandma.  Admitted.  Labored naturally for about 2 hours and then I decided to get the JUICE ha.  Those contractions were no joke, but really it was because Ben's heart rate was dropping to 30 bpm.  I knew my body couldn't relax enough to have a safe labor.  I will say, I was laughing through contractions, cracking jokes with the staff, and just having a great time.  Totally different from D's labor.  Got a little nap in and at 5:40 I started to push...2 little pushes and 2 big ones and I had Ben in my arms.  We are all so in love with him!

We only had to stay in the hospital overnight and it was amazing to come home.  We are all doing well.  I am so excited to get cleared to start working out!  I will say, this pregnancy I implemented clean eating (75%) and used Advocare products to keep my healthy lifestyle and not to gain too much extra weight.  I am pumped at my postpartum body!  It is not pretty, by all means, but it IS amazing to me at 1 week PP I am already smaller than I was 2 months PP with my first pregnancy.  My new goal: Getting back to documenting this healthy journey.  I am hoping to really start to pick up on my online coaching.  I will be getting some meal ideas, workout plans (solo, with newborn, and with toddlers), and other things going on here.  I am trying to work up to blogging 5 days a week, but for right now it might just be 2 big blogs a week.  I am hoping that by sharing my journey (imperfections and all) I can help other woman fall in love with their own bodies.  Their stretch marks, rolls, jiggles, and all.  Here's to a New Year, New You (and me!)
