Sunday, Funday....Monday is a new runday :)

What an AMAZING weekend!  So, we finally went to the beach I've been dreaming about since we found out we were getting orders to Hawaii.  Started Saturday off at this amazing breakfast place, called Cinnamons.  It was packed, but we were (for once) not in a hurry.  Food was amazing.  I had blueberry pancakes (thank you carb ease), well, Ben and I did, and they were THE BEST!
Headed out to Lanikai Beach.  We actually wound up at the beach right before it, but I knew it wasn't right.  I asked Dave, since the surf was a little bit too rough to move down about .6 miles to the beach I think was the right one.
*** I need to brag a little on him. Dave is such a great hubby.  Not only did he lug all the snorkel gear, towel bags, babies, stroller, chairs, etc out with me, but he put it all back and took us to the most breathtaking beach with no complaints ***

Well, this beach was nothing short of dream-worthy.  We played with our friends for a few hours.  Dave snorkeled and then it was my turn.  The water was clear, but because it was a little bit wavey the coral was hard to see.  I decided to come back and lay on the beach. As I am heading back inland I hear people saying, "Oh my gosh.  Do you see it?  It's right there!"  I am thinking---freaking great a shark!  No, it was a sea turtle.  I was walking in and trying to see it, but I didn't know it was literally right by me and bumped into my leg.  It was flippin' cool.  I sent Dave out running (he has been dying to see one while snorkeling).  He caught up with it and actually pet it's back.  Pretty amazeballs.  I cannot wait until D is comfy enough to use his mask and goggles to go snorkeling with us!

Next up, we hiked the pillboxes.  The pillboxes are a set of 3 mountains.  We got about 1.5 done before Ben had, had it.  It was hot and he was tired.  I will add a little plug in here for Ergo.  I have boys who do not like to be snuggled.  They are adventurous and independent (D more than Ben) and want to see the world.  Well, finally, we have been able to use our Ergo carrier as a backpack to hold Ben.  This made the hike so much fun!  I can carry him while Dave helps D.
D was pumped to hike and was so mad when we had to turn around.  He did awesome, considering how hard the climb is (grip wise) and how high it went.

Today, Sunday, was nothing short of amazing.  I feel so blessed for so many reasons.  Not only did God send us to live in a place that people PAY to visit, but we get to live here for 3 years and they pay us! We have found this amazing church (Kailua Community Church--if you're ever in the neighborhood) and today was great.  The music was on point and the message was perfect.  Grace, God's grace, is amazing.  It's limitless and the world is CRAVING it!  I can feel God all around us and His hand is guiding this family.  I know that BIG things are abound for us and I cannot wait to see where He is leading us.

Well, I hope everyone has a great Monday.  I am starting my couch 25k over again, but now with the double jogging stroller.  I am excited, but nervous because of this dang hip (thank goodness for a new rehab/chiropractor center tomorrow).  I am pumped to start a new 24 day challenge group and hoping to get some, well a lot, of new and old people to join in.  Excited to see what the week holds.  Hope it's a great one for you !!
