Let's Face it, we all get discouraged. Life happens. Rain, poop, money, trash, cleaning, sleeping, etc...LIFE! There are millions of excuses of why you cannot do something, why not stop making excuses and make progress.
I had an epiphany today while in the kitchen dancing around with my son. There are days when it rains and I cannot run outside, there are times where he is too tired to go into the childcare at the gym; do I let that stop me from working out? HECK NO. Today, I made a promise. On those days when I JUST DON'T WANT TO, I WILL DO IT! I picked him up and did press-ups (of course while singing songs and being silly...he didn't know I was working out and I didn't know I was able to make him happy doing myself a favor!), all 23.8 lbs. Then, when he grabbed onto my legs so I couldn't squat. I picked him up and held him and did them, he laughed and laughed (I think because it was fun, but could have been at me being cray cray). While doing push-ups he pushed down on my back. While doing another set of squats he joined in (Who knew he would start so young). Watching my sweet 15 month baby boy (aka my personal increasing weight ha) I realized I had made excuses, but no more.
Sitting on the couch? Get up! Plank in between your show. Making dinner? Grab 2 cans of beans and curl them. Blow drying your hair? Do squats! Too often we miss opportunity because of these crazy ideals we have built up, these walls, these excuses. So I challenge you, stop making excuses and start making progress!
