Half Marathon


I have been going back and forth about a half marathon.  Our neighbor and good friend just finished her first 13.1 a few weeks ago and I was so proud of her.  I have wanted to do the Disney Princess Half Marathon for years now, but I think I have been afraid.  I am not a "runner", but enjoy it.  I've done a few 5k's and I love the feeling at the end.  I am always so proud.  I am just psyching myself out, I know it.  I keep telling myself, that is wayyy too long for you.  You will stop.  I know I will finish because I refuse to pay for a race and not finish, but I sit back and wonder why am I afraid.  Well, not anymore. I am going to start a 16 week program to train myself to run, not stop, 13.1 miles.  Then, I will find  FUN race and do it.  My goal for 2014 is to do a 10k and a half marathon.  I want to be able to participate in the 2015 Disney Princess Half Marathon.  I am thinking I will use this model to keep me on track:
