Ball time

What a crazy past few weeks, but what a wonderful weekend.  My dad surprised me and said he was coming to stay with us this weekend (he is now stationed only 2 hours away).  We have the USMC ball, so he watched our son.  It was so nice being able to hang out with my daddy.  He is such an amazing man.  I am thankful everyday for him.

  USMC BALL!  Oh em geeeee!  We had such a great time.  We have been to 6 balls together, but this year was, by far, my favorite.  From the hair, to my dress, to my makeup...I felt like a princess. We had a blast with our friends. Drinking, eating, being crazy.  It was so nice to be able to get away for the weekend, overnight and 1. Not have to stress about D being safe 2. Enjoy my hubby!

  

       

Thanksgiving is upon us and I am so excited!  More family coming down.  Only have to wait 8 more days and then it's on. My mom is coming down and it's our tradition to shop together for Thanksgiving.  Last year we were able to make it home, but this is my first time ever hosting my family. I am excited and nervous.  I love traditions.  I am still debating about the tree.  I know we should have it downstairs by the fireplace, but I just know D will take off all of the balls and we risk it falling over on him, if he were to pull it.  And then there is the fact that if it's downstairs it's a 7.5 foot tree, but upstairs is a 10 foot tree!  Hmm decisions, decisions!
