Happy Friday, Y'all! So a lot of things have been on my mind, but this just happened this morning so I figured I'd let ya in on it:
We have to have a phone line for our internet to connect, well, I don't know how true that is..which reminds me I need to call the internet company today. Anyway, so this phone number must have been connected to someone else because we are always constantly getting telemarketers calling for someone else. We've told them they do not live here, we've asked to be put on "do not call" lists, but they just never stop. I, because I am hilarious, had a great idea! Now, instead of getting frustrated with these people we just let D answer the phone (video to come in the future). I literally cannot stop laughing. He knows as soon as the home line rings he gets to talk. I set it to speaker and let him go to town. It beats getting everyone mad and it makes everyone in this house laugh.
Yesterday, went to the gym, and while doing my plie squats I checked my form and to my surprise there was a HUGE BUTT in the mirror ha. With these pregnancies I've held my weight in my hips and thighs, but with D I do not remember my butt getting big (I am not complaining because it's actually a good looking butt, not a HUGE looking butt...though, if you have a HUGE butt I'm sure it looks good too ha). This got me thinking about my first pregnancy and ALL of the things they do not tell you. So I decided to share some facts for those first-time mommy's.
1. After you have the baby, not only do you not have a big butt, but it literally is like NO BUTT. From pushing D out, I had a flat wide rear end (obviously it got itself together). I cried, like literally, sobbed.
2. You will bleed and you have to wear these GIANT PADS! I honestly, did not know or even think about that happening. And then, they gave me these huge mattresses that I was supposed to wear to help...yes, that's exactly what my swollen vagina needed ...a pillowtop mattress....ugh!
3. You will NOT (well, most of us) go right back into your pre-pregnancy clothes. Okay, you would think that I would have known that. Nope, brought some regular jeans (not my size 4's, but like a size 10) to wear. Between my transformed baby body and fluffy vag pad there was no way! This time, yoga pants and a cute hoodie (guess I better start shopping).
Those were honestly the most shocking of all things. Besides being left in the room with your baby, which is amazing, but scary. I knew what to do, but it just wasn't "home". I am so pumped this pregnancy because I feel so much more relaxed. I am also pumped because when we had D we were waiting for our house to finish being built and we stayed at my parents. I loved being there and D having his own nursery, but I am so excited to bring Ben home here.
Hope everyone has a super duper weekend! Excited to play some Binglow (glow in the dark bingo) this weekend with my bestie. Base always has the most interested and fun events for us military fams.
